I just did the Apr stage one to my '05 1.8T cab.(Great!!, btw) I did a lot of research before I had it done, and one of the cautions I repeatedly came across was make sure you have a strong DV when you have it done. Depending on the year of the car, even a good DV can fail shortly after the chip mod. And when it does, the symptoms people described were almost exactly what your feeling...

I did the APR chip about 3 weeks ago and already I am so used to it, I hardly know it's there. Same with when I just got my exhaust, I could actually hear it and notice the difference. It's probably all in your head.

hp is like a drug that you build up a tolerance for...you just keep needing more to get the same rush!

It seems like changes in the weather conditions affect the power out alot more. Some days i feel like i have a ko4, others it feels like i ripped my turbo off ( alittle extreme but you get the idea), but all in all, it's prob just a head game

My car is slow as hell in the summer w/ the AC on, but at night when the temp gets down to like 90 or below the car wakes back up.

ORIGINAL: Yuikio

Yeah, I keep thinking that I must have a boost leak, shaft play, busted DV, something that makes my car slower than when I got it. But it's all in my head. I need a big turbo.

I feel the same way.
