Default Big Brakes

Tried researching some ideas about brakes. Lots of people go for porsche brakes, are there certain models that most people get? 996, cayenne?

I presume that its more cost effective, but can someone explain some applications. Im not too educated on brakes.

I have heard that many people on here are going w the A8 rotors and TT carriers...

though it sounds like you are talking about going w a bigger calipper as well....if so, search around some of our sponsors sites...

I have only seen maybe 4 sets of big brake kits on here...but I am sure some1 will be able to point you in the right direction....

gl!

^it would be a huge pita to make a set of mounting brackets for another set of calippers and a BBK for your car just for the front would be about 2500$ cheapest....I would go w the A8 rotors and TT carriers, there's a kit for like 300-350$, you could do a quick search and find it pretty easily...

just do a quick search, unless you are tracking your car or have a BT you don't need bigger calippers (and they aren't worth it if you are going for looks)

I have heard of people using boxster calippers, this may be pretty inexpensive (if you can find a set at a junkyard)...

If you have a friend who is a fabricator, or you are a pretty good welder, you may want to look into some hybrid calippers...

well, hopefully something up there will be helpful

porsche brakes take special carriers that you can only get from ecstuning. You will also need 17" wheels are larger to run them.

arent both of those $2k kits? You should be able to get some large rotors and a 4 piston for under $1500
