I got a '98 A4 and I love it. I too am just going into college and I am currently making payments. The A4 has plenty of room for me and a few friends and gets pretty good gas mileage. Buy a 1.8TQ, chip it, and have some fun. They are great cars and they handle amazing. I love mine and I am glad I got it. I do like the TT's as well but they are too small for me. I don't need a big car but the A4 is the perfect size for me. Plenty of trunk space and enough room to haul some friends around if you need too. I would choose the A4.

my car (99 323i)right now has 112k on the clock and i drive anywhere between 3 and 4k a month...i estimated by the time i graduate high school i should be sitting anywhere fomr 190k to 200k...the last thing i need in college is a car thats high mileage and is gonna need repair work on it...i was considering a 2002 or later 1.8t, with less than 75k on the clock...quattro doesnt mean much to me because i live in florida currently and snow isnt much of an issue...also the audi is better on gas...but given the car i want (2002 or recent a4, less than 75k) how much should i expect to pay??...and (pardon me if theres a sticky about this) what are some thing to look for when buying...i know the e46 bmw has problems with the window regulators, sunroon, water pump goes after 100k, auto transmissions tend to go after 100k...so what are some common audi problems for the year of car i'm looking for

(the TT isnt bad but its more of a toy car than an everyday driver...plus im 6'0 and i couldnt imagine being confortable in one...except the 2007 i drove was pretty roomy)

i drove an 04 1.8t quattro

it was a smooth ride...the clutch felt alot different than my bimmer...also the gears are alot closer on the slifter than my bimmer...almost felt like a short shifter...i liked the climate control...looked complicated but i like cool gadgets...say i got this car spring/summer next year how much do you think the price can drop??

possibly under 10k??(with good negotiating of course)
