I'd suggest just buying a Hybrid BOV if you're looking for the same sound as a regular BOV without the harmful effects it causes. I believe a Hybrid BOV recirculates 50% of the air into the system and lets out the other 50% into the atmosphere hence the pssst sound. By reciruclating 50% of the air it won't cause the engine to run lean or enable the CEL.
I'll most likely be purchasing a Hybrid BOV for my car after I do a bit more research on it. Can anyone confirm this information if it is correct or has anyone used a Hybrid BOV on their car that can offer feedback? Thanks.

Either way hybrid or not its still not the same, yes it will run lean becuase sure your only venting 50% but thats still half the metered air and it will mess with the car.... just run a ******* DV and do the air box mod **** whats with everyone and the stupid noise

the BOV noise is sweet, anyone who denies that is just in denial. It might not be the SMARTEST thing on some cars, but its a very unique noise. Honestly, when your drivin down the street and you hear a BOV go off, your head turns instantly. Its just a natural reaction, they turn heads, they sound nice, just use them the proper way. game over ladies.
oh ya, jeff, just get a flange welded on, any shop can do that for you. are you gonna vent it??? are running some sort of aftermarket MAS??
