Default Boost Gauge Install. 2 questions.

I can't figure out how to get the vacuum hose through the firewall into the car. I searched like crazy and all I read is how easy it is. Do i have to take anything apart in the car, because I can't even see any of the grommets that are underneath the winshield cowl.

While I was under the hood I noticed that the hose on the other side of the intake manifold and the hose that runs under the manifold(not the one where the boost gauge connects too) both have worn spots and are probably leaking. What are these 2 hoses called?

I can only help you with the first, the second, lol id say rubber hoses, and thats the extent of my knowledge.
Understand that when I installed my Vent Boost gauge, I went thru the side of the vent down under the stearing wheel and up thru the firewall and into the hood area. Well from what i remember you go thru the box that contains your ecu ( I believe theres a rubber nipple you can cut and then feed the vac hose thru) and then into the cabin. This is very difficult, because there is alot of crap in the way, and i think needs another set of hands to get the line on the other side. Go from there, and tell me what you think and just ask if you have any other ques.

Thanks, I'll try that. As for the hoses they are not rubber. They are made of the same mesh-like material that you splice into for the vacuum.

you can go through the ECU grommet from under the knee bolster on the driver side. as far as the hoses they are OEM vacuum hoses which are rubber with a braided fabric covering. they get very brittle and will leak eventually. best thing to do is to replace it with silicone vacuum hoses. 3.5mm ID is the size for the smaller ones.
