Boost Gauge question
I was wondering how crucial the 3 way splitter is on the vac lines that slits just before the fpr. I believe it comes from the manifold to the T piece which sends are into the boost guage while sending air into the fpr. Anyway, i dont explain well, but i was wondering if the T-piece needs to be a Y piece instead? Since i noticed that some work was done on the vac lines a while back, about the time my boost gauge started vibrating etc. that Y-piece was changed to a T-piece.... any ideas.
Y or T doesnt matter. They do the same thing. Dont hook up your boost gauge to your fpr vac line. Hook it up to the vac line on the front (radiator side) of the intake manifold. Put the T there, and run the boost gauge line under the intake mani and through the firewalls into the car.

if you hook it up to the fpr it will work just fine but you run the chance of that poping off and then your fpr is all messed up and that will cause problems. so like 1.8t said use the other vac line
Ok, well, when i installed it i just followed the instructions that was given to me by awe. I dont think i have enough line left fromt he boost gauge to reach the front vac line. But ill figure that out, just waiting for the fedex guy to show up with my new cat, then the work will start today. Thanks guys.
The boost gauge should come with a clear/white skinny coiled line that plugs into the back of the gauge. Then you attatch a black rubber/silicone hose onto it and run that to your T. If your gauge didnt come with a long enoough black hose then you can buy some locallyfor cheap.
