I have a Bailey's DV, my car is only boosting 5 lbs (GIAC chipped k04) and I have a cel. Scanned for codes and it came up with a maf code (signal too low). Investigated the maf, found out one of the wires in the plug had come out, fixed that, cleared codes, and still no boost above 5 lbs. I don't know what codes it's showing right now, haven't been able to vag it yet. Question- is it possible or likely that my DV is malfunctioning? or perhaps wastegate?

 

you know i was really thinking about why mine did the same thing and it makes sense to be the dv, because it could just be leaking alot of boost( due to the increase of line pressure because of the chip) and when you let off the gas andpress it againit reseals itself properly. i have working stock dv valve if you need it, just pay for shipping.

 

my guess would also be the DV man

 

Thanks for the offer Ryan but I think I am going to upgrade my DV from stock. What one do you guys suggest I get. I think I'm going to go with the Forges.

 

my car did the same thing, but in 3rd and 4th gear, but before i was chipped..turns out my turbo was broken inside, but was boosting a little, so i just upgraded to k04

 

i got the hks ssqvwith recirculation kit, it's a little bit more money but it will not leakunder any boost leveland it's louder than anything i've seen on an audi. but i'm a noob and my opinions don't matter.

 

forge and baileys make the best IMO I had a forge 006 and loved it

 

Will the new audi tt dv last on a on my chiped car? I can get it for around 40 bucks.
