Brake Light Issue/Fluid Level
Good Morning everyone - this morning it was a little cooler than our hot 85-90 degrees in Miami and when i started driving my car past 7 mph, the brake light came on as well as the beeping. I went to the book and it said the fluid is low. I went to Pep Boys and bought the fluid and tried putting fluid in but it would not go down - I undcrewed the yellow part on the reservoir to reduce the pressure and allow the fluid to pass but still did not happen. What am I doing wrong - looking at the fluid level I can tell that it is low but I also can't get the fluid to go past the strainer. Since I had no suction pump I had to leve the fluid on the strainer without it passhing through and began driving again - the light did not come back but there was little fluid put in. I am just concerned that it was not enough fluid. Can anyone she a bit of light on this. I have a 03 A4 1.8T.
Thanks

wouldn't your fluid be "low" if your pads are low b/c there isn't enough surface on the pads to force the fluid up? what i'm saying is... if your pads are low and you replace them, wouldn't your fluid be "full". I didn't think you're supposed to just add fluid b/c when you DO change your pads, there'll be too much fluid. i could be wrong pertaining to audi, but this was the case for my old mitsubishi.
Thanks for your input but I am new to Audi coming from DSMs and Toyota cars so I am not unsure if that concept to the Audi. We'll see if any of the experts here can shed some light into this. Thanks again.

Keep trying to add fluid. The light comes on for either low brake fluid
or worn front pads. If the light comes on during hard cornering, braking
or acceleration the brake fluid is low.
