Default Brake pad backing plate

Hey guys,

So a few months ago, I used a set of EBC GreenStuff at the track and cooked them pretty good. When I took them off last week to put on some Hawk track pads, one of the metal backing plates came off a front pad. Is there anyway to remount the plate, or can the pad be used without the plate? I definitely screwed up by using them on the track, so I'm just trying to get a little life out of them so it wasn't a complete waste of money...

The pads are in fairly rough shape, but they're not falling apart in chucks. A guy I talked to said they'll really fall apart once it starts getting cold, so the plan was to use them for the next 2-3 months until I put my winter tires on with my OEM pads. Then store the GreenStuff over the winter and maybe throw 'em back on in the spring.

Thanks!

very special glue is required to stick the plate back on but to be honest I would throw them away, and no you cant run them without the backing plate they will shatter the plate holds them in place

Tell me more about this glue of which you speak :-)

Yeah, the smart move is to throw them away. But since I've pissed away about $(00 in August on my car (track event, pre-track inspection, sway bar, brake pads, etc.) I'm looking to get at least a little bit of time with these Greenstuff pads as my daily-driver before the snow flies.

If it becomes more of a hassle than its worth, or a safety concern, I'll defintely junk them.
