Yup, thats what I did to, the male blade into the stock harness, and I have not had any problems. It took me a while to figure it out but I decided to do it and it worked. (Typical male thing to do, "Ahh this looks like it will work... lets try it!") LOL

And just left the whole thing floating around in there?
By "the whole thing" are you talking about the extra slack of the wires because they are long? Or the stock harness, etc?
Hopefuly Ill have a better idea whaty youre talking about tomorrow. I really dont want to cut the stock plug/haress off though.

No, I'm talking about the little black harness that the halogen bulbs sit in. I'm looking at it now and it looks like you could wriggle the bulb out of the slot, but I was when I was trying to figure out what to do about it yesterday and with the tight quarters, I had visions of trying to pull the bulb out and breaking it and severing my entire arm. Or my jugular. So anyway, by "whole thing," I mean the bulb and socket together. Do you need a picture?

^That might help a little... I am sort of confused now as to what you are talking about.

You fellas are in for a treat. Not only have you been dazzled in this thread by my technical abilities, the ART I'm about to show you might just blow your minds.

Okay. So...in real life, both wires aren't blue. Alright, I'm guessing the bulb detaches from that black part, but like I said, I was worried about breaking the bulb in the process so I just cut the wires where the red Xs are and crimped on female connectors.

Oh I see what you did. Yeah, totally not necessary, but whatever works! You still get brownie points for taking the task on and making it functional though.

So does the bulb slip out of there and I'm just too chicken to give it a good tug?

Yeah... No big deal. Did you just twist the wires together when splicing and tape it up?? Or were there crimp connectors?

I said like 10 million times that I used connectors, you never listen to me anymore!

I used a couple exactly like the female ones in the picture.
