working in the car accident repair business i have seen at least 5 audi a4s around 12 months old which have had a slight knock in the front and the engine goes back busting the gearbox mount and the box casing. the bolts are right on the edge of the casing! the first one was repaired and then the box damage was found the others insurance wrote them off.
So if u look to buy one with "light frontal" damage be warned!
also my local audi dealer rebuilt a 3.0 v6 after the cambelt bust when it was hit in the front, car ran for all 5 secs when we had it back drove it in the shop and all the water ran out the exhaust! the belt had fell off and bust the internals again! this time thou £7500 for a motor...............unlucky!!
