Buying a b6 tomorrow!
Welp, looks like the decision has to be on hold until Tuesday or so.
The original black on black that we looked at has some "issues" that we want fixed before we buy it and the manager needs to get estimates to work out what if its worth doing or just telling us its not worth it and trying to offload it to a less picky buyer.
The few things that needed to be done...
an area of oxidized paint around the gas cap region needed to be fixed. Could do this after we bought it but figured I'd throw it in there to be fixed before hand.
front and rear bumpers had pretty nasty areas of damage and need to be repainted.
Fill the holes from the front license plate holder (while its getting the other stuff on the bumper fixed, figured I'd toss that in as well)
Chip on the edge of the passenger side door about 4-5mm area that was down to the bare metal
Interior cleaned (specially the roof lining, lots of dirty finger prints for some reason)
The previous owners were pretty harsh on the poor car, there are a lot of clear coat cuffs and stuff on the hood and trunk that will be easily removed with buffing and compound but the trunk frame and door sills are pretty beat up. I'd hate to have seen it if they kept it for 30-40k miles.
We didnt get to see the other cars so next time i can get off is Tuesday. Should be a fun day.
