I dont have the procedure for testing it, you would use a volmeter/ohmeter to test the component for proper resistanceand voltage.

Dave, (the guy that posted the pic) has this, maybe pm him and see if he can put it up for you.

It wont hurt to make sure the connection is clean in the meantime.

Yeah sorry that was a dumb question the pic he put up for me has the ohms it should be (from 1 to 2 at 1,000) I didn't fully take a detailed look. thanks again and will post the update tomorrow.

VAG only guides you to the fault and then you need the multimeter to test the sensor/wiring

Oh no I asked for the masters and they came...thank you greatly and I will do some testing too...I am thinking about testing the coolant sensor too...just have to get her warmed up to test the range of ohms

Well guess what....toke the batt off for 2 hours.....reset the ECU, had it do the TBA. Tested both the rpm and coolant sensor...all are fine runing within the ohms levels Avant80 posted above. But I found something everytime I start my ride...it does a TBA??? It never did that before and the other thing I found was a coolant leak (drips) from the pass side block. So I then looked and found out that I have a secondary coolant pump and its dead, which leads me to think that that is building pressure back to the waterpump and thats why there is a leak from that hose. So would that cause this iusse or is this just crappy luck and two things are bad??? Also no codes at all atfer the reset and a long test drive.

well, if you have a blown head gasket, that would leak coolant, and the loss of pressure in the cylinder could cause the symptoms you are having. Check your oil and see if it looks like there is a milky substance in it. If so, you probably have a blown head gasket. Not too bad of a fix, but if you have coolant dripping down the block, that could be it. (unless you meant it was coming from the pump you mentiuoned)
Take a closer look at that leak and see where its originating from, and check the oil. Also the exhaust will smell different and be very white and thicker than usual.
