Calling the masters..I am stumped on this problem??
I dont have the procedure for testing it, you would use a volmeter/ohmeter to test the component for proper resistanceand voltage.
Dave, (the guy that posted the pic) has this, maybe pm him and see if he can put it up for you.
It wont hurt to make sure the connection is clean in the meantime.

Oh no I asked for the masters and they came...thank you greatly and I will do some testing too...I am thinking about testing the coolant sensor too...just have to get her warmed up to test the range of ohms

excellent
now you have the idea how it works

well, if you have a blown head gasket, that would leak coolant, and the loss of pressure in the cylinder could cause the symptoms you are having. Check your oil and see if it looks like there is a milky substance in it. If so, you probably have a blown head gasket. Not too bad of a fix, but if you have coolant dripping down the block, that could be it. (unless you meant it was coming from the pump you mentiuoned)
Take a closer look at that leak and see where its originating from, and check the oil. Also the exhaust will smell different and be very white and thicker than usual.
