im pretty sure ive seen a 3" MAF housing somewhere else that wasnt billet .. im thinking it was plastic like the OEM one.. but i was probably high or something and didnt really see it.. check around on the performance sites listed in the Audi Links Post stickied at the top of the A4 forum
hahaha, i know how that goes....

$125 is too much!

Send PM to Renn-Art. They took care of me before. also you can find it vwwortex or something. There was a guy was selling 3" hausings for $25.

So the 3" atp mafs that arif has is just a stock sensor with a bigger radiused piping? It isn't an actual new sensor? In that case, I will take Jeff's advice and just make one for him.

the one the original poster posted didnt have a new sensor .. it was just a billet housing... so ya.. just make one

holy **** thats expensive. just go to homedept and get a 3" tube and cut a whole in teh top for the sensor

its tough to make one, i tried, btw the vr6 maf housing is 3" od aka 2.75"id which is the same as the atp which is what most software is written for. If he wants a true 3" id thats the s4 one. They both go for about $25 all over vwvortex

Actually I am in the process of making one right now....3" inner diameter pvc pipe, melt/glue another small piece of pvc to it for the sensor to screw into, then cut a hole through both pieces....the only prob is now I have to buy a 4" to 3" hose to connect it the atp intake tube.

scales injector size with maf size, also the stock maf maxes out at something like 186 dunno the units
