The seal itself only costs $5 on ecs tuning.com, and you need a new valve cover gasket. Its not a bad price but they are really ripping you off because it doesn't take any longer then 1 hour to change the seal.
You need to use a special tool to compress the tensioner, then un-bolt it and you can fish it out with a small pick. If you haven't done it i would just have the shop do it for you. This is the tool you would need.
