Camber problems
Since many of you have a different suspension on your a4, I was curious if any of you are having any camber problems. I remember on my Honda I had a hell of a time with camber problems, I assume audi suspensions are built a lot better in the first place but I was still curious if I should expect camber problems when I do change my suspension in the near future, and since we are on the subject, any recommendations as far as suspension is concerned that you would like to pass along? Thanks for any input.

RE: Camber problems
Well rule #1 is to swap springs AND shocks... I know some crazy people with honda's that cut their springs and throw them back on. Your seatbelt keeps your head from hitting the roof on large bumps.
I lowered a fair bit, and have no camber issues at all. The alignment shop gave me the go ahead to go lower... and I will... once I find a way to stop rubbing.
First step is to figure out if you want a coilover setup, or if you want a spring/shock setup. What's your budget?

RE: Camber problems
Sorry. The "sophistication" of the Audi suspension, especially the front, makes it impossible to independently adjust camber. And you can't buy camber plates either, because of the way the upper control arms are mounted. You have to buy CPP adjustable upper control arms,(500$) or adjustable ball joints (200$) or forget it. The same principles apply with the MacPherson strut Honda suspension as the multi-arm setup of the Audi. If you shorten the distance between the strut mounts, or put on springs that have that effect, then the bottom of the wheel kicks out .
