I was changing my wires today on my 00 A4 2.8 Quattroand when I was removing one of them I broke this part...



I'm not exactly sure what it is, it looks like some sort of vaccum hose or something? If anyone can name it, is this something that you can get at Autozone/Pepboys or would it be a special order part? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

PCV hose. You can replace it with rubber hose.

 

I replaced the entire part on mine, it was broken in a bunch of places.

Breather hose. I had to replace mine a couple months back as well, and it was a pain at that.

Wish i would of have had that link before i went to the dealer and dropped $100 bucks on the damn thing.

Heheh me too - I cracked mine and taped it until I get the chance to pick up new PCV valves and then I'll replace it with a silicone line.

 

it's the breather hose from the SAI. taping it up is fine except keep ur eye on it because the heat will kill the tape.

SAP hose looks nothin like that and is at a different location/at/under the airbox.

This is a SAP minus the hose that runs to the air box.
