Canadian Law

RE: Canadian Law
It's possible, but I'm unaware of what all you may have to do to meet Canadian legalization. I recently did the same with a 2000 Accord. The only modification we had to make was daytime running lights. Besides that, you have to just get safeties and emissions done. Check government websites, theiy have all the information.
Be weary, though. The U.S. border is overstaffed by cranky, bored, and ignorant mouth-breathers. They are the result of a band-aid political policy: stopping terrorism, one exported vehicle to their closest ally at a time.
I could write you a novel about how much hair-pulling frustration I had at the border, but to be concise, I'll just warn you to not expect your car swiftly.

i guess it might depend on the border patrol you get that day... a buddy at work bought a old cougar or something from the states, drove it back... he didn't get hasseled at all... just had to show a proof of purchase and had to pay the difference in taxes... but he said it wasn't that bad... he showed them a proof of purchase in his own hand writing for half the cost he actually paid, worked out for him...

You have to arrange for the title to be sent to the border along with corresp0onding paperwork for you to import the vehicle. The US Customs requires this paperwork 72 hours in advance of your arrival..and this is a must. This allows them to vverify the title etc... THen, when you cross the border to Canada...you pay taxes (Federal).. my company paid for everything when I moved here.. but i had to do all the legwork.
