I just got my remote and I am trying to find the alarm antenna so I can increase the rangebut I can't find it anywhere. It works great if I'm standing within a foot of the rear bumper but it barely works at the drivers door. There is nothing under the rear seat and I found a writeup about it being under the rear bumper just behind the pass. side wheel but all I see is, what looks to be a clear drain tube. Any other places I should look?

 

Keep looking - it may be caught up in a bundle of other wires somewhere down there. There's also the chance that someone else removed the seat at one time, and maybe stuffed it down under some part of the carpet down there. You'll know when you find it - it should be black and should be the only wire/cable/whatever that is loose at one end (ie, not "connected" at the end to something else) - it'll come up from under the carpeting somewhere and the other end will just be laying there. It should be a few feet long at least - when you do find it, you'll know you've found it.

 

u kno i think i saw sumthing like that under the seat. it was an empty ended of a wire and it have a clear plastic cover on it. but it was part of that mainstream of wires? i took a pic but im at skool and don't have the pix on me. i'll post it later

 

Man can u get an upgrade antenna? My remote has pretty weak range also,the furthest distance Ive got from it was like 5 feet....SUX

 

There are no loose wires, all tied in bundles.

 

Nothing behind the back bumper? I thought the antenna was in the right rear corner of the car.

No need to be an ***, I did search and that's why I'm posting. I searched and read the last 2 links you posted and they were no help, the 1st one on the other hand I didn't find and that looks like it's going to be the one so thank you for that.

 

see that thing that is covered by a smoked plastic cap? that's wut i was talking bout earlier.
