if you used full syn and a large filter i dont think its possible for sluge to occure. How many miles on the car and with how many miles were on it when you got it?
I did use full syn, and a large filter. 38k at purchase, all previous oil work was done on time and at a dealer. And, 49k when this tradgedy happened.[:@]

theres your problem. Most dealers will use dyno oil and not syn. Small filter + non syn oil = BAD NEWS

Show them theproof of service and tell them its their fault.

I think it sucks that you're having this problem, and I wish you all the luck in the world in getting AOA to pay for it...but...

when you say " Makes me sick that I baby this thing more than I would my own child and it does this to me.." and "I BABIED THAT MOTHER F*CKER AND IT DOES THIS TO ME.", I can't help but think back to other posts where you've said things like you push the car hard daily, often to 4K rpms and beyond... that's not babying a car man. yeah it's fun to drive cars hard once in a while, and I won't dispute that you've maintained the car well to the best of your ability. but you haven't babied it. just wanted to point that out.

Meh.. I definitly relaxed on doing that sort of stuff. And taking it up to 5-6k in 1st gear... once a day? If that? Once its warm? Give me a break.. not gonna do a thing

For a while though I did drive it rather hard, but I always allowed for it to warm up (2 mins) before I took it over 3.5k, and I always waited 30 seconds to 1 minuet before turning the engine off after a drive... So IDK. I treated it well, it should be able to take hard driving anyway, thats effing BS if it can't. I know its not a race car but the car was built to reach certain limits, it wasn't even chipped so its not like I gave it a bigger work load than it was built for.

I get the word from Audi on what will take place today.

No matter how you drive it, using syn oil wont sludge or clog the engine.
