Default car died

Hey everybody, I need all your help. I just bought my a4 ultra 2 weeks ago and it died while I was driving to work. I was getting off the freeway and then my car started to jerk and then lose power. When I shifted, there didn't seem to have any power and then my car died out. I was able to start it up but after a few seconds it would die again. I couldn't believe what was going on. Finally, I had to call Audi and have it towed to the dealership. I had my car chipped with APR 3 days after I bought it. Everything was going well until now. Anybody else go through this?

Welcome to Audiforums,

Is there a check engine light illuminated per chance? Your problem could be any of a multitude of things. I would recommend buying a Vag-Com diagnostics cable or finding someone who is willing to help you out. Otherwise, you are stuck paying a dealer or a mechanic.

BTW in case you don't know: A vag-com is a cable that hooks up to your car's computer system and downloads error codes to a laptop computer via the parallel port. If you have any desire to work on your car, this is the first thing you should purchase. ross-tech.com

If you want to find someone who has a vag-com and is willing to share check out : Vag Locator
