If its throwing a crank sensor code and isn't running, but the starter can turn the engine over, its probably the crank sensor..
If the engine was seized it would not turn over at all.. That's the effect no oil has on an engine..
If it just shut off and won't start again its likely just a sensor.. Your crank sensor is what times your spark.. If that's not working, its not going to run at all..

Crypto is right. It's worth a shot before investing money in a new engine. Even if you rebuild it you will still need to get a new sensor. Head over to the local junkyard and pull one, or buy one brand new from your local auto parts store.
