woops, yeah if your auto then it will kill your tranny - unless you get a levelten upgrade, so if you've got an extra $800 for the tranny then go for it

 

o god another manual hater lol j/k man. if u've got cash and u got an audi, ur in perfect shape man, unlike me lol i hope things work out for u but i would go simpler setup cuz if anything happens wid dat aftermarket engine, it'll be terror to fix. im talking bout like spark plugs, not sure if the gaskets are the same and stuff. i myself is a little shaky since im not greatly engine inclined.

 

Okay why will it kill my tranny?

 

i have never heard anything good about lvl10. all the reviews i have seen say the car drives like crap and is very jerky

 

Level 10 valve body upgrade/tq converter will handle anything you throw at it. But its going to shift like a school bus. I dont know if you said, but how much money can you throw down on a new engine?

 

3 grand is what I have laying around. I just dont understand why this motor will kill my tranny

 

because your tranny can only safely handle around ~300 ft/lbs of torque. any kind of built motor is going to surpass that easily.

 

Even just using a K04?

 

well I guess we need to rethink this - for $3k.........ummmmmmmm..........Get an engine from a dismanteler like shokan (noticed I said like). Depending if there is nothing else damaged in the eninge you might be able to get by with just a new block and pistion/s(but you would have to tear down the old engine to verify). The install might be $$ depending on your local shops. that or buy a differernt car and part this one out the best you can and sell it to a junk yard for scrap.

going K04 will get you a little blow the max for the tranny - get the upgraded file and you'll be right at the max.
