so when i start my car up it shudders, and sputters from the tailpipe, it will dip real low rpm's and then jump back up real quickly and the check engine light flashes. It only does this for a minute or so when i start the car up, and then it stops, and the check engine light stops flashing and it drives fine. If i've been driving frequently it doesn't do it at all. But if i go for a few days without driving, it sputters real bad. Any ideas? thnx.

 

get your codes checked..

could be bad gas.. clogged injectors.. bad ground ... fouled plugs... clogged fuel filter.. bad fuel pump.. so many things could be wrong.. get your codes checked at the local parts store if you dont have a vag-com

ya dude it takes like two seconds to get those codes checked, and its totally worth it, lol.

 

I don't know, I've waited as long as 5 sec. for codes. should I get a diff code reader. what do you think.
