Hey i have a 98 2.8 quattro manual and this morning when i went to start it it started to turn over and then it just started to have a rapided

clicking noise, is that my battery? i think i have had that before in my suburban but i cant remember? i dont think it is the starter if it is

clicking like that? i didnt really have time to investigate b/c i had to make it to school. if you have had this before i would appreciate some

addvice.

 

Battery is highly likely.

Reason Battery is dead may need to be reserched. If it is an old battery replace or you left the lights on, recharge. If you did nothing wrong and it is a newer battery (high quality batteries last 5 years), check your alternator and *another part that is totally slipping my mind but I am not going to strain for the fact that you probably just have an old battery*

 

new battery did the trick, 120 $ though
