Car won't start :(
Alright so I've searched everywhere, haven't found anyone else whose had this problem. I try starting my car (99.51.8TQM) which for the most part has a stock engine. Turn the key and nothing, just nothing, no clicking no cranking just the climate controls and radio start up as they would when the key is in the "ON" position but when I try to start...nothing. the CEL is on but I'm pretty sure that is only because of the fact the engine hasn't started (like it would come on then go off as soon as the engine starts). The last time I had the car VAGed only the abs light codes came up.
It almost seems like its security feature that stops the car from starting but looking through all the manuals and such haven't found anything close to whats happening to me. this sucks...BAD. ever since I got the car its started first try every time and then today nothing. the battery shows 12v's of juice when I try so I'm at a loss....

You need a new battery.
Its not comletely dead, cause it gives power to the radio, but its not got enough juice to crank the starter.
Has it been slowly going? You can test this by jump-starting the car. If you jump it, and it starts, you need a new battery. Sometimes its so far gone, even a jump doesnt want to start it, but ususally it will.

Well Problem fixed! After trying to jump start it, dissasembling wheel and using my multimeter on pretty much every wire that had to do with the ignition I remember what I quickly read after searching more from Alkieb's link. Seems as though a ground wire from the starter wasn't getting enough contact. Steel-wooled that biatch up and she starts every time!
