Default Car Won't Start need some help

So my car won't start after I did some maintenance work on it to fix/swap out old things for new pieces. When pressing on the clutch petal then turning the key in the ignition the dash monitor thing still says press clutch pedal to start car, which what I was already doing. Also my EPC light stays on with the key turned. When the key is turned there's a weird noise that emanates from around the brake area/car computer. If no one has any advice I think I'll have it towed to the dealership to have them check it out since I don't have access to a Vag-com.

What exactly did you swap out, and do to the car?

What year/engine is the car?

it is a 2000, and we swapped out the clutch, pipes, tubes, and got the flywheel resurfaced. But doesn't matter no more. We figured it out, it was the power for the starter motor that had come unplugged during reassembly of the car, took us a lil bit to fix and now it runs fine
