Default Is this car worth it?

Hi everybody. I'm brand new to the Audi world. I've been doing a little bit of research, however, and I really would like to jump on this deal. Before I do though, I would like some of your more knowledgable opinions. I found this listing on CL http://sacramento.craigslist.org/car/554966142.html and it seems like a really great deal. What do you guys think?
Keep in mind I am a college student, and my pockets aren't too deep. I am mechanically inclined, and not afraid to get my hands dirty. I want a daily driver for the next 4 years. You think this should fit the bill? Thanks in advance.

seems like an ok deal, i would just be weary of the newly rebuilt engine/turbo. but since it has 59k on the new engine and turbo, it there is no problems it should be ok.

also, if the new engine has 59k miles, you'll have to have the timing belt changed. it is recommended by everyone here on the forum that those who have 96-00 engines should replace the timing belt at 60k. so you actually might want to have him take the price down becuase a timing belt job will cost you $700-1000 for a mechanic to do it.
