That's why they made CEL's, to tell you when something is wrong. Find your nearest Autozone, have the code scanned, and then post it up. Simple as that. Then we can help.

Otherwise, just drive it with the CEL on til' the car dies.

 

obviously you didn't do any searching. This is discussed nearly daily here. Get it scanned and figure out why its on. Prolonged CE lights can cause bad things. The 87 gas probably didn't do any damage.

 

I'm guessing a bad oxygen sensor.

wwwwwwwwhat? You had a CEL w/fault code that said "low coolant"?? Never heard of that one...

 

im not guessing, get it checked, low coolant will set the CEL because the oil takes over cooling the engine so its a warning the cylinder head is about to blow

just fyi i went to autozone and they told me they might not be able to read an audi so you might have to take it to the dealership or find someone near you with vag-com

 

anyone in chicago have a Vag-com? im located in Licoln Park. i am also in the Naperville area too. if Autozone cant scan my car then im not sure what to do.
