No, wouldnt be for the b7's if there is already a class action against them Sounds like some people have banded together... or some shark lawyer has banded people together, in a mutually beneficial deal.

I wanna go talk to them about it... my car hasnt been dealer maintained... so who knows. I wont pay for 1.5 hours of inspection time, if that is what they are suggesting... i'd just as soon change it myself for a couple hundred bucks, and never have to own an engine that's been grenaded.

if i was informed correctly the local dealer said it was for a4's MY up to 99

doesnt apply to the MY 2000,2001 for some reason

although the advisor i talked to didnt really know much about it yet

prolly cause 99.5-01 have the updated tensioner i believe. Thats amzing that Audi is actually gonna do something about it

Well, by stating that it doesn't have to be replaced until 105K miles, they are giving an implied warranty that it will safely last to 105K miles.

If my belt broke, that was what i was going to argue.

They want us to spend 1.5 hours labor at every 10K mi. service. It still makes sense to have an independent shop change it before 90K mi.
