change tray stuck

Default change tray stuck

Ok i know this has been posted before, but i can't find it and am hoping that someone can help me out...

My roommate the other day jammed a few hundred bux in my change tray and now it is jammed shut. does anyone know how to un jamm the tray or how to take it apart????

I have uploaded a photo of the tray i am talking about...it is right of the ESP button and Right of the Drink tray....

mine gets stuck all the time, get a flat head scredriwer or a small knife and carefullf pry foward.If it dosent want to open push it slosed all the way and try again, eventually itll pop.

tryed that, but it started to f' up the dash... i would rather know how to take it apart and then put it back together rather than just jamming things into it trying to pry it open...i've had things break that way and i know i won't be able to open it up that way

it should just pop out but if you want to take the console aprt there should be tabs under the dash and bye the seets that have hex head screws under them.My console is set up different though i have an 01

sweet just figured it out...had to pry off the top trim piece and then there were two clips that need to get pryed off and the try just slid out...

unfortunately you will have to remove the interior trim to get at it completely. that means removing the radio. We all know what a PITA that is.
