on the AEB engine , i can see the water pump from under the car, would it be possible to change it from there?

 

LOL, to answer simply, no.

Normally you would change it during a t-belt change. I think it can be done without removing the t-belt, but I dont believe it can be done completely from underneath. You probably still need to remove a lot of shiznit to get in there and do it.

Do you have a haynes or bently manual? It should tell you up front what all needs to be removed to get to it.

 

Good god why bother from under the car?

 

Way easier from the top. Youll have to remove a few things from the bottom but most of the work will be done up top. You dont have to remove the t belt to change the pump on the aeb. Its not driven from the tbelt.
