Changed my brake pads for the first time today
Pretty happy it got done, definitely took longer than I though (like all things) but I'll prob be way faster with it next time. I read a couple DIY's and had a Haynes on-hand. First time I've ever changed pads so just hoping I did it right. The rears were a major pain in the a$$ because I didn't have the retractor to push the piston in, so I had to go at it with some needlenose pliars.
I put EBC Greenstuff on the front and rears, but I didn't drive it anywhere since it was pretty late, so I'll have to break those bad boys in tomorrow. I've got a 3-day event at Watkins Glen in a couple week, so hopefully they'll serve me well.
Does everyone use anti-squeal? Is it going to be loud as hell 'cause I didn't put much at all on? I only had my roommates leftovers.
Might even bleed the brake system tomorrow, but that looks like a pain in the ***.
Can't wait to paint my calipers black to go with my BRIGHT GREEN PADS :-)

Its easy to push the rear pistons in with the correct tool. You can get the cube, but since I work on friends cars occasionally I bought the kit at Harbor Freight for $20.
I have Greenstuff on the front and they're pretty nice. I didn't bother with anti squeal stuff and I haven't heard any from the Greenstuff...

yeah, I'm retarded for not buying it while I was at Autozone. My buddy was at Harbor Freight, and I called him to ask if they sold the retractors...he came home with something that wouldn't be able to rotate the rears, so I just used a C-clamp on the fronts and the pliars for the rears.
