Changing the oil... we have a problem.
My oil drain plug wont come out! Last oil change, I had a local performance shop change it for me, and I think they torqued it down WAY too much, and it doesn't look like they even put a washer on it... stupid guys.
So, I've cranked on it as hard as I could, pushing, pulling, and it wont come loose. I sprayed some wd40 on it about 5 minutes ago and we'll see how that works to loosen it up.
Any tips on getting it out? haha.

Yes.
Another one for the list of must have tools for any DIYer.
Get a breaker bar and try that. Its just a longer socket bar to give you more leverage.
Or, if you have a piece of heavy pipe around, slide a piece of pipe over the wrench handle to make it longer giving you more leverage.
OK, dumb question, are you sure your turning it the right direction?
If you are looking straight at the bolt =>> righty-tighty (clockwise) and leftly-loosey (counter-cw).

I'll have to look into a breaker bar before I attempt the shocks/springs myself. yeah, I tripple checked myself to make sure I was doing it the right way, it happens though.
Alright, heading out to see if the wd40 helped. If not, I'm searching for some pipe.
Thanks,
Kyle

if worse comes to worse, use the close end of another wrench, and put it on the open end of the wrench you are breaking the plug lose with.... when I was working at a shop, you'd be amazed how many times I've actually been able to pull myself off the ground (6'4" 225lbs) trying to break loose an overtightened drain plug. Usually a breaker bar does the trick, or if you feel ballsy the wrench trick, just make sure you don't slip and smash your fingers/hand into something. The E-R isn't very fun.
Well, it's pouring rain now, so much for changing the oil today.
I guess it will be waiting for me on Friday when I get back in town. Thanks guys.

... almost as bad as breaking a stud off a lug nut on the side of the road with only a 4way lug wrench to do it... needless to say that was a slowwww drive home with 4 lugs holding the tire on an old *** ford
