Default changing rotor help

Hey guys I gotta change my rear brake rotors this week. Looking at the DIY on it I had some questions. Do I need to bleed my brakes when I change my rotors? What does bleeding the brakes do? I pads I have on now are about a 2 months old should I pick up new ones with the rotors? The rear rotors are warped(thats why I'm changing them) will this affect the front rotors at all?

THanks

If you open the lines at all or the resivour while changing the brakes you will let air in the lines which is BAD. (kind of like puting air in your blood veins) If the pedal has alot of travel or seems mushy you could have air in the lines which is why you bleed them.

Change the pads also because the older ones can cause odd wear patterns on your new rotors.

Depends on if you are front trac or quattro. The rear rotors are different. For front trac, the rear wheel bearings are packed inside the rotors so youll neednew bearings if you are front trac. If your pads are only a couple months old id reuse them. You dont need to bleed the brake lines.
