Default Rotor Help!

Are you working on the front or rear brakes?

Default Rotor Help!

If its the rear rotors, that "Thingy" is a caliper mounting bracket. You can remove it by taking out the two bolts mounted on the back side of it that secure it to the wheel hub. I believe they are secured with two allen head bolts. Stick your head inside the wheel well and look on the backside of the "Thingy", and you should be able to see them (bolts).

The bolts that hold the thingy on are loctited into place and are difficult to break loose. You SHOULD be able to get the rotor out without remonig the thingy. You have to tilt the rotor just so.....
