Default Changing tyre pin

Those of you that have changed their tyres on their Audi would know about that stupid plastic pin that you have to screw into one of the nut wholes to get the wheel off.

Firstly I hate the guy who invented that system! as i had a flat tyre last night and followed all the right steps to get my tyre off yet i still was unsuccessful.

Secondly does anywone know if you can get your wheels off without using the screw in plastic pin thing? as i have snapped my in an effort to get my flat tyre off last night.

And lastly can this pin be replaced through an Audi dealer?

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what pin you mean... Like a black plastic pin the same width as a bolt with threads on the end of it? I never use it. If I did it would be to align the rotor up with the holes to get the wheel on there before bolting.

I just use a basic tire iron to get my wheels off.
