k my car is 1997 audi A4 quatro 2.8L and, this pic looks similar to my car engine but slightly different, in my case i saw the sensor behing the coolant can the red liquid can, and there were also some sensors green, blue, and white near engine so from your opinion the green one is the one i have change.

is there any way to check that this is the appropriate one like remove sensor and start engine.....

Ram, the blue sensor also controls the temp guage. If your gauge is not reading right there is a good chance it's the blue one.
