Default Check Engine Light...no way to tell.....

hey guys

thanks for the last info on the display center.....

so I just got back from a long driving trip in the audi from san fran to los angeles...I pull into my parking spot and low and behold the awful yellow check light comes on....my audi is just over 60000 61200 to be exact...I know there is a 60000 service but what does that intail? and any thoughts on the light? will it go away if I get a tune up? what should I do?

thanks

T. Pres

to be able to check and clear codes yourself you can buy a vag-com from ross tech . if you are lucky someone around you has one. it is a great tool to have

I paid $71 for a Ross Tech clone and it paid for itself 6X when my dreaded check engine light came on.
So, if you own an Audi - owning this diagnostic tool will be priceless.

Do you need a laptop computer for this clone?

obdtool.com Comes with ross-tech's software (unregistered shareware version). Since the software is unregistered, some functions are blocked out and it doesn't give descriptions of all codes pulled. You can register it for 99 bucks though.
