So they cancelled my appointment today for my chip I was kinda disappointed I was so looking forward to it. BUt with a little searching I found a place to do it today so after work at 1:00 I'm driving to APtuning in Lebanon PA to get this done and once again I'm happy.

I picked up a GIAC about a month ago and I love it. That was my first Mod so I dont have a diverter valve. Should I pick one up...ist that going to make a big difference. I just read on here from Nasty that I wouldnt feel a big difference without one. That true??

That all depends on your old DV. The old DV tends to wear under the new boost pressure (about 1.0 bar/14.7PSI) If it wears out, you will loose boost and lose HP. If you have a limited budget get a 710N from the dealer or online. If not , I would go for a new Billet Alluminum DV from either Bailey/Forge.

Damn that chip is insane what a huge difference.

Soultrane: If your old one is bad you will definately lose power. The stock 710 diverter valve can only handle up to 8 lbs. or so. I would upgrade to the 710N it can hold the required boos t for the chip or if you have the money go for a Forge DV or Baileys.

Loving that chip tough

they were very kind and cordeous I was in and out quick plus they only charge 35 bucks for the install. I made a bunch of calls and got estimates from 80-165 for the install. SO I saved a few on the install and bought a new snub mount with the extra cash since I'm doing the timing belt next friday. It was raining on my ride home but I could feel the power right off the bat. Man I love this car

I just chipped my car also (KTR Performance In Ayer, MA) with the GIAC 2 weeks ago.
The ride is so much more fun.
I can really feel the difference between 150hp and 195hp.
We can't get better deal for that kind of gain.
Mine was $395 + $75 intallation.

Hi Eck, I got back just a little while ago from Ayer wit the chip upgrade. I was wondering what the exact hp increase was, 45 hp looks like. Torque also increases to 200 ft-lbs? Looks like when I'm idling, rpms drop real low for a second or 2. Otherwise, everything is great, I can definitely tell the difference. Did you get a new DV also?
