well if you go to unitronic.ca they list what appears to be a k03 chip

 

ok - so you have a major boost leak? software wouldn't just start to produce less - it has to be somthing else

 

Ive never heard of anyone running unitronic software on a k03 or k04. I think that is what you should be dwelling on. Sounds like youre in limp mode, and I would guess thats due to an overboost condition caused by a chip designed for a larger turbo than what you have. Do you have a boost gauge? How much boost did you get out of it? Who did your chip installation?

 

If your at 5 psi you might be in limp mode. Try unplugging your batt and letting it site for a while then plug it back in to clear the computer. Actually scratch that. See if you are getting any codes. If not then try what I just posted.

Oh my bad... Hmmmm. I still havent heard of anyone using it with a k03/k04 though. Shoulda went with GIAC man

 

There site is not very imformative AT ALL! It shows there BT chip setupsbut says its good for any setup. It seems they base it on injector size. Weird!!!

 

Josh. I think what you said make sence. It my be on limp mode for producing to much power. The guy at the shop said that the turbo is running at 20 psi

 

the chip was installed by a shop call thirty 20 here in salt lake

 

I just think I am going to get my money from unitronic and get a GIAC chip. What ya all think?

 

Get GIAC. Reset computer. Do some searching on this forum and make sure that you have all of the correct supporting mods for your setup. If you are running weenee injectors etc and are choking the system, you will have problems with the car running correctly no matter who designed your chip software.
