Default CHIP Question

Do I have to take my A4 1.8 T Quattro somewhere to get chipped or can I do it my self?

If nobody answered in the last post about this same topic, why clog up the boards with another? Just bump it. Find aplace that does chip tuning and have them do it. I would definately not call it DYI. You can find authorized dealers on the chip mfr's websites. Or you can mail the ECU to them. Please search next time. sometimes you will find the answer faster than someone replying to your post.
Oh and 18T, it's a 98 from his last thread that you posted in.

yeah you are gonna need to get the chip soldered to the ecu so it will have to removed from your car for a while. I would not advise a DIY on this.

no company will sell you just there chip, if the did they would be stupid.. get it done somewhere near you, or send it to one of the web-sites that offer chip tuning.. you can do a local dealer seach on any most of the homepages.. APR, GIAC.. ect..
