your stock dv will probably fail within a few days of being chipped. the problem is the internal spring can't handle the boost, which is considerably higher than stock. 2bennett in davis is an awesome shop, if you're in that area, i highly recommend those guys. they know their ****, probably better than any audi shop in norcal.

Guys, thanks for all the responses. I am leaning towards the GIAC chip now. I do not trust the shop that was bashing the GIAC chip and pushing the Revo chip. I have spoken to a GIAC authorized dealer in NY and he told me he can do the GIAC chip with the switch to to toggle between performance and stock mode with the 710 Diverter valve for 800 installed. He also did not bash the Revo chip but said he has never had a problem with the GIAC and would give me a 30 day money back guarantee. Anyway I think I will go with the deal and do it next week some time. The dealer in NJ that told me about the Revo chip was KMDTUNING. I always appreciate all of your input and comments. I think if I go with the GIAC chip I will be doing the right thing.

Cool. Then it shall be done..
Yeah, I'm just up 'the hill' in Rescue, but Davis is a relativley short run, and 2Bennett is where I'm headed.
Thanks for the feedback.

GIAC FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!

Nightstalker - I chipped my 98.5 sedan back when it had 85K miles on it. No problem. Just make sure you have had your timing belt/tensioner change done.
