Default Chip questions (i researched and couldn't find)

Ok heres the quick story: I have a 2001 2.8Q tip A4. I want to chip it twice, one performance chip and one tip chip. My question is this: will chipping both the transmission and engine put excessive strain on both parts (ie cause dmg to the engine and transmission / make their components wear at an excessive rate). thanks alot for your help

there are no chips for the 2.8 only 1.8T...and if you get a tip chip, it just reduces your shift time to about .2 secs. instead of the shitty stock shifting

well not exactly.... http://www.pes-tuning.com/Merchant2/...ry_Code=AUDIA4

it may not do as much as the 1.8t chip, but its something....

as for the tip chip, i know what it does, i was just trying to figure out if by remapping the shifting programs, does it end up putting extra strain on the tranny

And in answer to your question, no everything would be fine. Any chip you buy from a reputable company will be built within the engine (or tranny)s efficiency range.
