Default Chipped boost

Well I've been running my GIAC chip now for about a month, and i love it. I have heard that people chipped with giac will spike around 18 and hold about 15-16. Well i was wondering if it is normal to spike sometimes 16 and hold 15. In 1st gear ill hit like 14, 2nd ill spike 16 and hold 15 untill around 5k rpms and then it drops off to about 9-10. 3rd holds 15 all the way to redline. And fourth i haven't taken to redline yet but maybe on 95 ill give it a try. Should i look into a N75 race valve by ECS. Any opinons will help. Yes i did check all the vac lines.

my guage reads 1in hg when the engines off, and the guage shows that i hold around 18... which is probably really 19, since my guage reads 1 low... lowest it ever holds is around 17 normal, and 15 when its a cold day
