Chips and Warranty?

Chips and Warranty?
New to the forum.
After 10 years of subaru ownership, I finally got another Germany car to keep my 1970 VW Karmann Ghia company in the garage.
I have an 05 (not 05.5) A4 Avant. Luckily I scored 2 years, 3 months of factory warranty (with Maint) and another 2 years of dealership coverage.
Would chipping this car void these warranties? how about intake mods?
Does anyone use NGK plugs for audi? I love em on my VW and my dads miata.
The car puts enough of a smile on my face as is, but I am looking to my options.
BTW, my ghia is also a 1.8L engine (w/o turbo), and that car weighs 50% my avant. It is my goal to put the 2 head to head and I will report the findings on this and thesamba.com
