I have a 99.5 with a cig lighter near the handbrake. I pushed it down and now when i try to push it again to rotate to come up it wont. ITS STUCK... How can i get into that so i can play around with it?

I'm Just guessing, but I wouldn't stick a knife into an electrical outlet...... If I were you, I would pull the fuse first, or get some plyers and pull it out.

 

it just might have melted although i've nvr heard of that happening since there's a fuse. can u wiggle it a bit? are there any movement?

 

when u push it down it actually goes down like it normally does ...but i guess it doesnt unhook to rotate.

 

I had the same exact problem as you. I just kept pushing it down until it finally popped up, the cig lighter wasn't all the way in and caused it to get stuck.

 

Might need to replace your fuse for the lighter.

 

i had the same problem. they make this tool called a flathead screwdrive that worked lovely on prying it open. left a few scratches but now it works like a champ. the cupholder in the dash gets stuck too, that one just takes a few nice hits to persuade it to open.
