they just pull out from the back nothing special. atleast thats how mine are done on my b5 ecodes.

Slight twist to unlock 1st them pull out

If u are having trouble, put u hand in the headlamp from the back and watch from the front thru the headlamp lense to see if u have unlocked the bulb plug
