Cleaning Brakes

My brakes are squeeking, HORRIBLY but they are fairly new (few months old)

how do all of you keep your brakes from squeeking?

Did you put that goo on the back of the pads when you installed them? Often times squeeking is due to the vibration of the brake pads while braking. The mystery goo helps to keep them from vibrating.

i put that goo stuff on mine, and my brakesdo it every now and then. I bought ebc drilled/slotted rotors and green stuff pads. It's wierd though...because they don't do it all the time.
